Jose Massas is an associate of Basham, Ringe y Correa since 2007 in the civil, commercial litigation and arbitration areas of the Mexico City office.
His professional practice covers, among others, attending civil and commercial actions under their different procedural modalities (ordinary, executive, special, public works, commercial insolvency, constitutional, etc.), in both state and federal courts. Has participated in arbitration proceedings in Mexico, as well as in enforcement actions and actions for annulment. Has experience in drafting and processing letters rogatory to and from foreign countries under international conventions of which Mexico is a party. Actively cooperates with other areas of the firm in reviewing civil and commercial agreements for the public and private sectors, due diligence investigation and general consulting. Is an expert in handling proceedings with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency.
Graduated from Universidad la Salle (“ULSA”), Mexico City campus in 2005. Obtained his law degree in 2007. In 2003, he successfully concluded a specialization course on family, property, contract, tort and inheritance law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (“UNAM”).
