Patent Examiner in the Biotechnological Patent Division at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial, IMPI); Specialized in Biotechnological Patents at Basham, Ringe & Correa, S. C. since February 1997 to date. His practice focuses on intellectual property law in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, plant varieties, and life science fields; Assists clients with patent preparation and prosecution involving a variety of biotechnological technologies; and Preparing and prosecuting international patent portfolios.
Biologist, Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), and has taken courses of Science in Genetic and Molecular Biology at CINVESTAV-INP; and various intellectual property courses of Substantive Examination on Biotechnological Patents by IMPI, USPTO EPO and WIPO; and others on Breeder’s Rights of Vegetable Varieties by CIT-UNAM, SNICS-SAGARPA, and UPOV.
