Last 24 December 2019, the Ministry of the Environment of Mexico City published the “Notice by means of which the calling for the registry of all interested parties in participating in the working group for the creation of the Environmental Standard for Mexico City PROY-NADF-010-AMBT-2019.- Specifications for Plastic Bags and Sole Use Plastic Products” was published (herein after the “Calling”).
The Calling is addressed to individuals and legal entities, government offices, deconcentrated offices, decentralised agencies, institutions, investigation centres, public and private educational institutions, and companies, who will have to justify they hold the sufficient knowledge or experience to analyse and discuss the Environmental Standard’s project (herein after the “Interested Parties”).
The Calling is related with the reform to the Solid Waste Act for the Federal District, in matter of sole use plastics, published in the Mexico City Official Gazette on 25 June 2019.
We consider that the Environmental Standard referred above, will define the technical aspects necessary to implement, in its totality, the reforms to the Solid Waste Act for the Federal District published on 25 June 2019.
The Calling will be open since 24 December 2019 and until next 17 January 2020.
