Mexico City, July 1st, 2020.
On June 30th, 2020, the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (“SEMARNAT”) published, in the Federal Official Gazette, the Accord by means of which the term for the presentation of the Annual Operation Card, the National Emission Registry and its verification opinion, corresponding to the year 2019, is extended. The accord shall enter into force on July 1st, 2020.
Under the indicated accord, the period to file the Annual Operating Card corresponding to 2019 (“COA 2019”), including the report of direct and indirect emissions of compounds and greenhouse gases, that the Establishments Subject to Reporting are required to submit before the National Emissions Registry, will be extended until next September 30, 2020.
In this regard, all those establishments obliged to submit the COA 2019 will have an additional 3-month period to file said report, in case they have not filed it yet.
Likewise, and as set forth in article Third of said accord, the term to present the Verification Ruling over the direct and indirect greenhouse gases and compounds emissions report, will run from October 1st, 2020 to February 28th, 2021.
